Conceived through intricate origami maquettes Flint represents a design that is striking yet understated, built around the concept of a nesting landscape. When together, the Flint range offers a seamless landscape of seating with smooth undulating forms. When broken the pieces reveal their striking faceted forms.
The Flint lounge and ottoman range reflects Tom Fereday's ongoing principle of honest design. Developed from the inside out, the entire range is constructed from sustainably sourced, Australian plywood frame, on top of which sculpted high resilience foam and water based glues finish the piece with a choice of commercially approved upholstery fabrics.

Tom Fereday. Honest design, true to materials and its process. Tom Fereday develops products based on the principle of honest design, conveying a design process which celebrates the materials and manufacturing processes behind furniture and products. By using the environment as a positive design constraint he guides intelligent and thoughtful design outcomes which connect with people through natural materials, tactile finishes and innovative design. I strive to create enduring designs which are meaningful to people and their environment.
